2017/2018 Tuesday Morning Meeting Speaker Schedule 

Shorewood Kiwanis Club meets on the First and Third Tuesdays of each month at 7:30 am, at The  Ram's Horn Restaurant, at 9 & Jefferson in St. Clair Shores.   Our morning meetings are terrific for learning about Kiwanis, finding out what is going on in our community and getting to know interesting people. Ms. Madeline Bialecki, Director of The Lake House

Ms. Bialecki will be speaking on the subject of all lives touched by cancer, the mission of The Lake House.  She will also inform us of a new concept in local service organizations, a new space negotiated with the Southlake School Board to make use of a closed elementary school, Pare Elementary, now being used to house service and charitable organizations.  What a terrific idea! Ms. Kristy Piana Schena, Executive Director/Founder Kids on the Go

Ms. Schena will be presenting to thank Shorewood for their past contributions and to celebrate this, their 19th year of service, dedicated to a pediatric program that provides free physical, occupational and speech therapy for children ages 3-17 with medical diagnosis's that include down's syndrome, autism, fragile X syndrome, and other conditions that cause developmental delays.  Learn more about this worthy organization at .

Renea Callery, CEO of on the GO! and Partnership Coordinator for the MI District of Kiwanis

Ms. Callery joined the Dearborn Kiwanis Club a year & 1/2 ago.  She is now the coordinator for the MI District Partnerhips division. Her presentation will be "A Punch of the Formula and a dash of Partnerships" as seen recentlyin The Builder. She will be bringing us up to date regarding partnership opportunities at both the district and international level.

A day of thank you's for some of the important contributors of the Shorewood Kiwanis Harpe Charity Cruise:  Dr. Daher Rahi, & Connie Joly Offfice Manager for the Rahi Executive Center, once again donated as our headquarter operation.  Additionally, our Charity Partner representatives will be present for their hard work in covering the cruie routes - their checks and community service certificates will be presented.  Plus a special guest from the firefighters association to say thank you for our contribution to their recent fundraiser.

We will cover a myriad of topics: 1) Facebook and its connected applications; 2) how to take our meetings and events VIRAL; 3) How to invite your FB friends list to "like" our page; 4) what is a FB event and how to take it VIRAL, sharing events/inviting friends and 5) Q & A session.  We'll have the projector there and will look at these pages together. Make a list of any technology questions that you have - having an Internet/Marketing consultant at your fingertips is priceless.  She will answer any questions, any topic.  Might be a good day for an Interclub?
